People in every country can suffer from anxiety, it doesn't matter what their background or age. If you are one of these people then you only have two choices, you can let the anxiety take over or you can get back in control of your life. There are a number of useful techniques that you can use to beat the feelings of anxiety -

1. At all times try to control your mind and thoughts. It may be easy to let negativity rise but it is also easy to think about the positive aspects of your situation and life.

2. Try to stop yourself from having quick emotional reactions to situations. Learn to stay calm, composed, and practice self-discipline.

3. When you are laying in bed at night do your best to think of happy things. Often anxiety can take over when we are in bed trying to sleep. Use this time to remember a funny movie or story.

4. When you wake up, say to yourself that it is going to be a great day. Simply by having a positive frame of mind, good things can happen to you.

5. Always try to keep busy. Usually people become more anxious when they are idle. Start and end the day with activities that you enjoy. Even by doing the housework it can take your mind of any problems that you may have. Reading, watching TV, and surfing the net can also be used to occupy yourself.

6. It often helps to talk about our anxieties with a good friend. They will be able to see everything from another perspective and help to reassure us.

7. If there is something you have always wanted to do then work towards it. If you can achieve a goal it will also give you confidence.
